Jumbo Supermarkets to Open in Former Hudson’s Bay Building in Amstelveen

Jumbo Supermarkets will lease approximately 2,000 sq. m. of retail space on the ground floor of the former Hudson’s Bay building at Buitenplein/Handelsplein in Amstelveen. The store is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026. The property is owned by Amstel Buiten, a joint venture of Mobion Group, 3B Group, and Solidiam.

The building, which totals around 22,500 sq. m., is currently being redeveloped into a multifunctional complex called The Bay. Amstel Buiten is repositioning both the building and its surrounding area to revitalize the district. The second through fourth floors have already been sold to EasyStorage.
